When Canberra man Alan Newsome was transformed from a highly-intelligent academic into someone who could barely string a sentence together... it left his wife and family in shock. Red Hill woman Jane Thompson has described her experience with her late husband as part of an Insight documentary on SBS Television called "I Still Do." She spoke to ABC Radio Canberra's Adrienne Francis about what happened after the Alzheimers diagnosis and also a proposal to build a new dementia support village in the ACT.
